The last couple of years have seen AI gradually taking over the Smartphone world, with almost all the recently launched phones debuting fully equipped with AI functionalities. Therefore, QUALCOMM has continued to develop new chips to bridge the gaps between the premium and lower-tier device in terms of AI capablities.
Released last year November is QUALCOMM Snapdragon 632, one of the latest chip under the lower-tier segment. According to Qualcomm, the chips brings some amazing features expected in a mobile platform. It includes mainly Artificial Intelligence, 4k video shooting, mainstream gaming, and faster LTE speed.
Meanwhile, Snapdragon 632 is built on advanced 14nm FinFET process technology and combines two QUALCOMM kryo 250 CPU, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU to boost the overall performance of the chip to over 40%. The chip will also enhance camera experience with 24MP on a single camera and can house dual 13MP sensors.
Delivering what matters most, speed, the new Snapdragon 632 makes use of the X9 LTE modem, which supports improved technologies like the carrier aggregation, while the display resolution can scale up to FHD+.

Asus Zenfone Max (M2)

First on our list of snapdragon 632 phones is Zenfone Max (M2). The device now available in the market features a 6.26-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It has two memory configurations – 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB and supports memory expansion via microSD up to 512GB. Out of the box, you get Android running on the device.
The camera features dual 13MP f/1.8 lens and a 2MP depth effect sensor for portraits. On the front notch is a single 8MP f/2.0 sensor with LED flash and HDR. There’s also a 4000mAh battery which is enough to see you through a whole day and you can also refill through a Micro USB port.
Meizu Note 8

The Meizu Note offers more enhanced performance even though it still runs the Snapdragon 632. The device is designed around a 6.0-inch display with a 1080 x 2160 resolution and 402ppi density, for an improved screen experienced compare to Zenfone Max (M2). Both device, however, runs Android 8.0 out of the box, while Meizu Note comes only in 4GB/64GB non-expandable memory configuration.
The camera department houses a dual 12MP f/1.9 sensor with massive 1.4um pixel and a dual pixel PDAF. It’s accompanied by a 5MP sensor, while on the front panel is an 8MP f/2.0 selfie snapper. Unfortunately, you only get a 3600mAh battery, but it charges quicker with fast battery charging: Mcharge (18W).
Huawei Honor 8C

Huawei Honor 8C is the third device on our list of Snapdragon 632 phones, on par with Zenfone Max (M2). Both features entirely the same specs, even the design is so close. The only difference among them is the price; Honor 8C is currently at 134$ while the Max M2 is selling at 215$.
The specs, however, are 6.26-inch IPS LCD display, 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB ROM, dual 13MP + 2MP depth effect sensor and 8MP selfie snapper. Inside the slim body is a 4000mAh battery which supports 5V/2A 10W fast charging via MicroUSB port.
Motorola Moto G7 Power

Officially making our list of snapdragon 632 phones soon is Moto G7 Power. The device revolves around a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display of 720 x 1512 px resolution. It features 19:9 panel, 270PPI density, splash resistance, with an impressive 79.5% screen to body ratio.
Moto G7 Power has multiple memory configurations, it includes 2GB/32GB, 3/32GB, 4/32GB, and 4/64GB, all expandable via microSD. Out of the box, it’ll run Android Pie. The camera configurations are 12MP f/2.0 primary sensor and an 8MP selfie snapper.
The battery is 5000mAh capacity and charges through a USB-C port while also supporting 15W fast battery charging. Other specs include Bluetooth 5.0, 4G connectivity, GPS, and regular 3.5mm headphone jack.
Motorola Moto G7

The Moto G7 features likely specs with the Moto G7 Power in terms of build and processor. Sitting on the front panel is a 6.24-inch LCD panel, protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Coming to the camera department, Moto G7 has a dual 12MP f/1.8 sensor, accompanied by a 5MP telephoto lens, while the selfie snapper has an 8MP f/2.2 sensor. The battery capacity is 3000mAh with 15W fast battery charging via USB-C port.
Redmi 7

Redmi 7 is the latest device on our list of Snapdragon 632 phones. It comes after the unveiling of more premium Redmi Note 7 and 7 Pro, both of which are currently on sale now. Among the 7-series, Redmi 7 is the most affordable with $109 price tag for the base version and $150 for the 4/64GB version.
Meanwhile, Redmi 7 debuted with a 6.26-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution, protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for maximum durability. Paired with the SD 632 SoC is up to 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable internal storage, but at the expense of sim2 slot. The camera impressed with a dual rear arrangement of 12MP + 2MP modules and a 12MP selfie shooter.
The battery is quite big (4000mAh) and supports 10W fast charging on Micro USB port. Out of the box, the device will run Android 9 on top MIUI 10 skin.
Redmi Y3

Xiaomi Y3 makes it the second device from Xiaomi to feature in our list of snapdragon 632 phones. The device debuted in India with 6.26-inch IPS LCD screen, a teardrop notch, and thin bezel, covered by Corning Gorilla Glass, which is scratch resistance. Redmi Y3 has splash resistance, so you won’t worry when caught up in the rain.
Basically, the Y-series is where Xiaomi pulls out its camera abilities and so has equipped the Redmi Y3 with a massive 32 MP selfie camera. The sensor has 1.6µm 4-in-1 super pixel to allow more light for brighter shots. Other features include Auto HDR, screen flash, AI portrait mode, Full HD selfie recording with EIS, and 80 wide angle field. The primary camera is a 12MP + 2MP dual module, accompanied by a LED-Flash and supports Full HD video at 60fps.
LG W30 Pro

For the first time, an LG device is featuring on any of our Snapdragon series phones, with the official unveiling of LG W30 Pro. The device runs Snapdragon 632 14nm process with up 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, which can be expanded using MicroSD up to 256GB.
On the front panel of the LG W30 Pro is a 6.2-inch HD+ Full view display of 1520 x 720px resolution. The front selfie snapper is a 16MP lens with AI face unlock while the rear arrangement consists of a triple arrangement. It includes the 13MP main shooter, 8MP ultrawide lens and 5MP depth sensor for portraits.
Other features of W30 Pro includes the 4000mAh battery, Android Pie, Fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Dual Hybrid Sim slot.
