Qualcomm, a couple of days ago, announced the Snapdragon 750G SoC, and according to a new report, the company is about to unveil a new 700 – series SoC, dubbed Snapdragon 775G.
The Chip will likely debut alongside Snapdragon 875, which will be built on a 5nm node. We expect the duo to be officially available before the end of this year, just like the predecessors — Snapdragon 865 and 765G.
Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 775G will be the first Qualcomm chip to be built on a 6nm node. It’s said to boost a 40% uplift in CPU performance and up to 50% in graphics rendering compared to the predessesor. Also, the SoC will support a 120Hz screen refresh rate, LDDPR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.
Of course, Snapdragon 775G phones will support 5G internet connectivity and are expected to reach a peak download speed of 3.6Gbps on 5G networks. Thanks to the Qualcomm X52 modem, which supports mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G.
For optics, the SoC will likely employ the Qualcomm Spectra 355 image processor. It can house dual 22MP camera modules or a single 192MP sensor. All Snapdragon 775G phones will be compatible with slo-mo video (720p@480fps), while the supported video formats will include HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, HEVC.
Other features of the SD 775 SoC will include Quick Charge 4+, improved Qualcomm AI engine, Aqstic Audio codec, USB 3.1, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and multiple biometric authentication support.

Qualcomm is yet to debut the Snapdragon 775G SoC, and as such, no device is currently running the Chip. However, it’s expected that Xiaomi, Samsung, and other OEMs will start releasing phones with the said SoC once it has been released.
Unfortunately, we don’t know when Qualcomm plans to unveil the SD 775G chip, but we will be on the lookout and will update this space once the Chip is officially announced.
