Xiaomi, a couple of days ago, started pushing out a new update to Mi A3 users. The update is March security patch and weighed a staggering 1.3GB, which is rather big for a patch build. Many users received the update, but when they try to download, returns an error message ” couldn’t update installation problem.” But although the update is still arriving on more Mi A3 phones, the message is clear now.
The Xiaomi Android One line-up didn’t have the best Android 10 rollout. The devices in the last few months have received buggy updates, which led to the bricking of some Mi A2 Lite units. However, the company has since acknowledged the lapses and promised to roll out subsequent updates that will fix the issues, but with the latest March security patch update arriving on Mi A3, it shows the company hasn’t got things under control yet.
The March security patch update arriving on Mi A3 started two days ago. The majority of users got the update but were unable to download because of an unknown error. However, the message is more clear now as the update is only for the device that is running on Android Pie. If you’re running Android Q, stay glued to our page for future updates.
With that, don’t try to download the update because it will still come up with an error message. The only option is to leave it for a while and it will disappear or better still, switch off and on your device, a few times and the update will disappear.
At this point, we don’t trust Xiaomi’s Android One update anymore. Even when you start getting a new downloadable update in the future, make sure you read the feedback before updating. It’s important to avoid any issues that the update will cause to your phone.
