Xiaomi commemorated its tenth anniversary yesterday while debuting two new phones; Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 Ultra. The former is the first of its kind, priced at a premium level, with the former is aimed at the high-end segment.
The Redmi K30 Ultra has a similar design with the K30 Pro but features Mediatek Dimensity 1000+, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It draws power from a beefy 4,500mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging, which comes with the package.
Around the back panel is a circular plate, which houses the camera arrays. It’s a primary 64MP snapper flanked by a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, 5MP Macro shooter and 2MP depth sensor. The LED sits just below the arrangement.
On the front panel is a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that refreshes at 120Hz, surrounded by a thin bezel. The selfie is mounted on a motorized pop-up, leaving the screen without a notch. There’s an under-screen scanner beneath the display for maximum security.
The Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra runs stable MIUI 12 outside-of-the-box based on Android 10. There are a linear motor vibrator, a stereo speaker, Type-C USB port, and IR Blaster.
Redmi K30 Ultra price and availability
The Redmi K30 Ultra starts at $287 (CNY 1,999) for the base 6/128 combo. You get the 8/128GB variant for $316 (CNY 2,199), while the more premium 8/256GB model will set you back $360 (CNY 2,499). There’s also an 8/512GB combo, which goes for $388 (CNY2,699), available in Moonlight White, Midnight Black, and Mint Green.
About the availability, the Redmi K30 Ultra is said to commence official sales from August 14TH, with a slim chance of going overseas.
