With more HyperOS updates being released, the chance of running into an issue increases. Perhaps the reason the Chinese company started the weekly bug report is to keep track of these bugs and update users on time for a fix. So far, they have done a great job highlighting problems affecting Xiaomi phones while predicting the ETA for the fix. On the latest HyperOS weekly bug report, users are reporting Messenger crashing and Super Wallpaper display issues.
What’s on the latest HyperOS Weekly bug report?
Only a handful of problems were reported this week. Over the past weeks, Xiaomi has resolved many bugs, and with each new update, they optimize and improve the stability of HyperOS. This has led to minor bug reports, which is evident in the latest episode of the weekly bug report.
Messenger crashing
Redmi Note 12 series users are reporting a bug that closes the messenger app seconds after launching it. We understand the problem is also affecting other Xiaomi phones, which doesn’t seem like an issue with the app. Perhaps a recent update has broken something, though we don’t know yet as the company is still analyzing.
Nevertheless, you should clear the Messenger App cache and see if that helps. In addition, check on the Play Store for any updates and install it. If any of those works, you should wait for an OTA, expected to start rolling out soon.
Super Wallpaper display issue
Given the resources dedicated to the feature for smooth operation, Super Wallpaper is limited to high-end Xiaomi phones. That doesn’t seem to be the case, as Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T users are having problems using It.
We understand it doesn’t show up correctly, and some users face stuttering problems or alignment issues. Again, Xiaomi doesn’t know what is causing the bug, with analysis still ongoing. While we are waiting for a fix, we recommend that you avoid installing software updates with the version numbers below.
- OS1.0.4.0.UNEIDXM
- OS1.0.11.0.UNNEUXM
- OS1.0.3.0.UNNIDXM
- OS1.0.9.0.UMFMIXM
- OS1.0.15.0.UMFEUXM
- OS1.0.7.0.UMFIDXM.
We know you might have an issue that is not listed here. It is possible the bug is not widespread, but you can help Xiaomi know about it by reporting it. Hopefully, the company will address it. How do you report a bug using your Xiaomi phone?
