The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android 10 update arrived in the early hours of March 9. It took only a few hours before users started reporting brick devices and other bugs after downloading the update. One would expect the company to release a statement immediately as regards the Mi A2 Lite Android 10 update problems, and they actually did. Below is the official statement from Xiaomi.
According to Xiaomi
advertisement” From the central, they have sent us the following statement due to the entire situation that occurred with the update of this Mi Phone:
Xiaomi is aware of the Android 10 update problems in Mi A2 Lite and the launch to users of said device has currently been suspended. Our teams are now working to resolve the issue and our goal is to implement an OTA update throughout March. Affected users are encouraged to bring their devices to Xiaomi authorized service centers for post-sale assistance.”
From the statement, the company will be working to roll out the update again this month. But we don’t know the possibility as we only have few days left in March. Also, one can’t take Xiaomi serious with Android One updates anymore, not after the events of the past.
However, the good thing is that users who had their device bricked because of the Mi A2 Lite Android 10 update problems can request for RMA (service order) from where they purchased the phone.
“Users can also return to the point of sale where they purchased the device and request an RMA (service order) and the defective device will be collected from the point of sale through the authorized service center. Like general repair procedures.”
But then, what about someone who bought the phone online or a place where there’s no authorized Xiaomi service center? Again, what if the warranty period has elapsed, what should such a person do? Anyway, the last part of the statement tried to answer the questions:
“Remember that you have all the information on mi.com, at the bottom of the page you can find a section of our guarantees, service centers, scooter maintenance programs and all the after-sales information that you may need”
