Xiaomi Mi 9T joins Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi K20 Pro, POCO F1 and Mi 8, to receive the MIUI 11 update. The update started rolling out last night in Austria, Malaysia, the Philippines, Peru, and a few other countries. It’s arriving with a version number MIUI 11.0.1.0 PFJMIXM and weighs 773MB.
The Changelog isn’t looking different from what we know already. It brings the comprehensive design, optimized for full-screen experience by removing clutter, and refining colors. You get to enjoy Always on Display, which comes with gorgeous themes to display an important notification on your screen. There is a variety of clock formats to choose from for the Ambient Display.
The MIUI 11.0.1.0 PFJMIXM comes with most MIUI 11 features, and you can find here. More importantly, it pushes the Android Security Patch to October. However, it didn’t bring the ultra-battery saver feature, which according to Xiaomi, let you use a 5% battery for hours. Also, the OS is pegged back at Android 9, but that’s not the case as MIUI isn’t a bond with Android OS.
From the user’s feedback, the update isn’t a bad one as it improves system performance. It also improved battery life, but the menu icon has become big and there’s no system setting to make it smaller. But then, you can download themes from the Xiaomi store, with the smaller Menu icon.
Unfortunately, there are still some users waiting for this update, especially those in Pakistan. However, you can do something to speed up the process by going to Settings, My device, MIUI version, Update Setting, and switch on “Receive update early.” Another option is to use a VPN and secure your location to the US, then try scanning for the MIUI 11.0.1.0 PFJMIXM stable, hopefully, you’ll see it.
