With MIUI 10, Xiaomi introduced the Game Turbo function, but it has yet to see a change in its looks since its inception. That should have come with MIUI 12.5 that saw a total overhauling of MIUI. Perhaps the company never thought of that till recently as it seeks to find users’ opinions on what the new Game Turbo design should look like.
The Game Turbo, as the name suggests, is a gaming enhancer. It doesn’t automatically improve the gaming performance but comes with in-built features you can tweak to enhance performance. They include options to adjust frame-rate, aiming accuracy, anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, and more. There’s an option to toggle DND without leaving the game, reply to messages, screen recorder, and voice changer. Interestingly, the game Turbo makes it possible to answer calls while gaming without exiting the game.
Of course, there is more to what you can do with the Game Turbo, and probably, more features will arrive with MIUI 13. Meanwhile, with the next iteration of MIUI, Xiaomi will allegedly introduce a new Game Turbo design. At least, the latest poll organized by the company suggests so, but the link has since been taken down.
However, above are the five designs of the new Game Turbo, which users are to choose from. They’re essentially the same but with few alterations in the location of some functions and colors. Of course, the more noticeable change is the difference in color across the boards. And hopefully, we will learn about other changes in the new Game Turbo design when it hits the closed beta group. As always, they’re the first set of people to receive a new MIUI feature, and we don’t expect any changes.
Xiaomi will announce its next iteration of MIUI next month, but that might be delayed, according to a new report. The supposed MIUI 13 needs more polishing and would be unveiled after the final touches. To stay updated with all the information, you should keep an eye on our tracker page.
