Motorola Edge 40 is another smartphone from Motorola (apart from the expected foldable) that has quite impressive features to explore. But that’s not all, it’s aesthetic and attractive – thanks to its sleek finish on the outside. Let’s take a look at the features of the new Motorola Edge 40.
Features of Motorola Edge 40
First off, from the outside. The Edge 40 is available in two finishes: acrylic in Blue and vegan leather in Black or Green. The latter two weigh 171g each, while the acrylic plastic weighs 167g. All three are water and dust resistant to IP68 standards. The Motorola Edge 40 is powered by a new 6nm Dimension 8020 processor and 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. You get 256GB of built-in UFS 3.1 storage.
The Motorola Edge 40 features a 6.55-inch 2400x1080px OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling, and HDR10+ compatibility upfront. The 8-bit display has a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. Dolby Atmos-tuned twin stereo speakers surround the screen.
Onto the camera, The primary camera on the Edge 40 sports a 50MP 1/1.5-inch sensor and an optically stabilized lens with a wide f/1.4 aperture. For 2m resultant pixels, the sensor pixel bins 4-to-1. There’s also a second 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide with “Macro Vision,” which means it has autofocus and can shoot closeups. The Edge 40 also sports a 32 MP f/2.4 autofocus selfie camera.
The Motorola Edge 40 has a 4,400mAh battery, 68W wired charging (charger included), and 15W wireless charging. Lastly, on pricing and color variants, the Motorola Edge 40 is now available in Nebula Green, Eclipse Black (both in vegan leather), and Lunar Blue (acrylic), with the single 8/256GB model costing €550.
