It has been nine months since Google released stable Android 14, and in a couple of months, Pixel phones will start getting Android 15. Unfortunately, not all phones get the Pixel treatment, as some have yet to receive the current Android OS. However, it’s better late than never, which is the case of the 2023 Motorola Razr and Razr+ as both phones start getting stable Android 14.
Motorola Razr and Razr+ 2023 Android 14 update is currently exclusive to US users. It comes with all the expected features and improvements for the cover display available for the recently released models. The devices now support AOD, while the security patch level has been bumped to May 2024 to increase system security and stability.
As usual, it will take time for the upgrade to arrive on all eligible units. We understand Motorola is seeding the update in batches, and that’s normal for OTA rollouts. If everything goes as planned, the update will be available for everyone in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, while waiting for the Motorola Razr and Razr+ 2023 Android 14 update, you can check the support page for all the new features on the Razer 40 series running Android 14. We expect most of the features to arrive for the predecessor.
