The Xiaomi Android 11 update rollout has been smooth until yesterday when the Mi A3, surprisingly, started getting the update. All units that had the update installed bricked, and Xiaomi hasn’t released a statement yet. We hope they do soon and also offer solutions to the issue. Meanwhile, a new Android 11 update for Mi 10 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro is currently arriving via OTA. But unlike the Mi A3 Android 11 rollout, no bricked device has been reported, meaning the update is safe for download.
The new update is rolling out to those in China and will arrive Over The Air. It has a version number, MIUI 12.2.2.0 RJACNXM, for the Mi 10 Pro, while the Redmi K30 Pro is getting a MIUI 12.2.2.0 RJKCNXM update. Both updates are currently limited to a few users and will start seeding for the public in a couple of days.
Arriving with the current build is a stable MIUI based on Android 11, new camera functions, and optimization. It also bumped the security patch level to December and improved system security. Note: this current build is a “Beta Stable” and also a cross-section Android upgrade. You are likely to experience lags and glitches, which is why you should have a backup before the installation.
