Xiaomi is currently pushing to announce the next iteration of MIUI in the coming weeks. The company recently announced the third batch of the current deployment, and it’s probably the last before the unveiling of MIUI 13. The next iteration of MIUI will arrive in the coming weeks, with Redmi executive hinting at the arrival a couple of days ago. There have also been a series of new features and redesigned UI released to closed beta testers. That always happens when the company is about to release a new iteration of MIUI. And going by recent reports, the latest closed beta update has revamped the battery temperature status.
The Power consumption on Xiaomi is said to have increased in the past couple of months. Some users, especially premium phone users, have been complaining about their phones overheating. Of course, Xiaomi has improved that by introducing balance and performance mode. They also revamped the user interface, making it easy for users to detect when the device battery becomes bad and needs replacement.
There’s no doubt that these improvements help Xiaomi users manage and keep track of their power consumption. And with the new battery temperature status, it’s now easy to know the battery condition. That’s because, instead of Celsius, Xiaomi will now use Cool, Normal, and Hot to indicate the battery condition.
The change is perhaps to help Mi fans understand the condition of their device battery at any particular time. Unfortunately, the new battery temperature status is exclusive to Chinese closed beta testers. It’s likely an MIUI 13 improvement, and we expect stable ROM users to grab the new changes with the upcoming iteration of MIUI.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has integrated the changes into the security app. You can download the APK from here and see if that enables the new battery temperature status for you.
