As the uncertainty surrounding the release of the stable One UI goes on, Samsung keeps rolling out new updates to eligible devices. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is getting a new stable update that bumps the security patch to the latest version ahead of the planned OS upgrade.

It has been a few months since the stable Android 15 update was released, and a handful of smartphone makers are already rolling out the update to stable users. One UI 7 is stuck in the beta phase, with the latest report hinting at a May release. While we are not yet sure when the rollout will commence, we are certain of a new Galaxy Z Fold 4 update.
The latest release is exclusive to the carrier-locked model in the US. We understand those on MetroPCS and T-Mobile are getting the update, which carries a version number F936USQS7GYA5. We recommend installing the update when prompted, or you can check for it manually.
The new Galaxy Z Fold 4 update bumps the security patch level to February 2025. Aside from resolving issues and enhancing performance, it addressed over 40 security vulnerabilities. Also, the audio output issue on Android Auto has been fixed with the update.
How to download the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 update
Like other OTA releases, the update is in batches. If you haven’t received it, you might wait a few days, as these rollouts take time to arrive for all eligible devices. Meanwhile, you can head to Settings>>System updates>>Download & install on your Galaxy phone to check for a new update.
