Samsung has yet to start rolling out the stable One UI 7 update because it has yet to complete the beta preview. So far, the Korean company has released two beta builds exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series. We expect the third beta in the coming days, and it seems it will bring a new improvement.
What’s the new improvement coming with the next One UI 7 update?
Slow fingerprint unlocking was once a problem for Samsung phones, but the company has improved that, though there is still room for improvement. The company is working on it and might introduce it to the Galaxy S24 series phones as early as the next One UI 7 beta update.
According to Ice Universe, the next beta build will improve the fingerprint scanner unlock speed. A video was posted on X demonstrating the improvement Samsung will make with the biometric scanner in the upcoming release.
A close look at the video shows that animation has improved, which might explain why the scanner works faster. Also, the screen doesn’t fully go off as the device is on Always-on Display, which might have affected the screen unlock time.
It’s still too early to say exactly what Samsung has achieved with the upcoming build. We hope to see the release in the coming days to judge the speed with a real-life performance.
