The Mi 9 is the Xiaomi flagship phone of last year with the successor – Mi 10 released a couple of weeks ago. And typical of Xiaomi, the device after one year keeps getting a timely update. The Chinese version already received an update some days ago, and now, the new Mi 9 Global beta stable update has started seeding.
It’s the Android Security Patch update for April, which improved the device security and stability. Also, it came along with bug fixes and optimization, but below is what you should see on the Changelog.
New Mi 9 Global beta stable update Changelog
System
- Updated Android Security Patch to April 2020
- Improved System security
Unfortunately, the update failed to add the Vlog video function that arrived for the Chinese variant weeks ago. Like we said earlier, it’s just a security patch update to improve device security.
The update, as usual, is arriving at random and will progressively get to all phones running official and latest Global Beta stable ROM. It can take days depending, and in the absence of any serious issue will start arriving for the general public.
From feedback on Mi community forum, the new Mi 9 Global beta stable update is safe. And since the update is arriving in batches, proceed with the download once prompted, or it might be pulled from your device. In such a scenario, you only receive the update again when the Beta preview is over.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to leave feedback for us using the comment section. We would like to know the performance of the battery and if you’re able to get the Vlog video function with this update.
