Global MIUI 12.5 rollout plan has POCO F2 Pro and POCO X3 NFC as the only POCO phones to receive the update on the first wave of the rollout. It’s on the first batch of phones to receive the update; expected to start rolling out in Q2. Of course, the update has started rolling out, and has so far, reached the flagship Mi 11 in Europe. We expect the rollout to extend to POCO X3 / NFC, but that should be much later as a new update is being pushed to devices in Europe.
The new POCO X3 / NFC update is exclusive to Mi Pilots. For starters, Mi Pilots, are recruited to test MIUI stable updates before it’s pushed to the public. They are the ones getting the new update, which brings the latest security patch. The Android security level now dates 2021-05-01, which is the latest version. However, from reports, after the update, the device is no longer “Google Protect Certified.” As a result, some apps are not working, including Google pay.
Google Protect Certified Android devices, means they are safe and secured. All Android-powered devices are certified to ensure they are secure and safe to run Google apps and that which can be found on the play store. It looks like this new POCO X3 / NFC update isn’t certified by Google, but that’s what you can fix updating Google play services. If you have the same issue, navigate to Settings, use the search option and locate “Google Play system update.”
Meanwhile, the new update has a version number, MIUI 12.0.6.7 RJGEUXM. It’s a security patch update to increase system security while fixing some bugs. Again, it’s a limited rollout for now but should start rolling out widely in the coming days.
