Few hours after a new update started seeding for Redmi Note 8 Pro users in Russia, the European users are now getting the same update. It’s a security patch update and is also arriving for Redmi Note 9 in the same region.
The new Redmi Note 8 Pro update is based on Android 10 and comes with a version number, MIUI 12.0.3.0 QGGEUXM. It’s currently arriving for limited users who will preview the ROM for bugs, after which the public rollout is going to commence. The update has bumped the security patch level to November 2020, improved system security, and fixed minor bugs as per the changelog. It weighs in at 380MB and is arriving via OTA, but you can still download manually, using the links below.
Also, the Redmi Note 9 units in Europe are receiving a new update. It comes with a version number, MIUI 12.0.5.0 QJOEUXM, and weighs in at 195MB. Arriving with the update is the November security patch, improved system security, optimization, and bug fixes. You can scan for the update via the Updater App, but it’s likely yet to arrive.
Note: you might encounter an error trying to flash this ROM manually, and that’s because the public rollout hasn’t been initiated. When that happens, you should give it some days and try again or better wait for the OTA, which is expected to start rolling out in a few days.
