Xiaomi is expected to officially present the next iteration of MIUI in the coming weeks. Ahead of the unveiling, the company has been releasing some features to the closed beta group in China. Perhaps, these are features of MIUI 13, and hopefully, we will get a confirmation in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the company has just released another interesting feature – a smart toolbox. It’s currently limited to particular regions, but we anticipate wider availability in the coming weeks/ months.
Perhaps, the upcoming MIUI 13 will bring these features to stable ROM users. A couple of days ago, the Chinese OEM introduced new and optimized Automated tasks. Although the feature is yet to reach the public, a new Smart toolbox has been made available. Unfortunately, only closed beta testers are getting the new feature, but it seems some global ROM users have it working.
Meanwhile, the Smart toolbox is a feature of MIUI, only that the latest update has enabled more functions. Interestingly, with the current version, you can edit and add apps that stick by the side of the screen during video playback and gaming, or you can let it show all the time. Unfortunately, only the former is available for global ROM users, but hopefully, there’ll be an adjustment with the release of MIUI 13.
Nevertheless, you can download the latest version of the MIUI security app and see if that works for you. The new smart toolbox has been integrated into the app. After installing the app, launch the app and select “video tools box.” Alternatively, you can check the source link for information on how to go about it.
