Perhaps, the Redmi Note 8T Android 11 update is not ready yet, and hence, a new stable update based on Android 10 starts seeding. Xiaomi didn’t confirm that the device will receive the current Android OS, but since it has the same development as the Redmi Note 8, we believe the device will be upgraded as well. However, that might not be the case as the company is now seeding a new stable Redmi Note 8T update to the device without the much anticipated Android 11 update.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T launched in November 2019 with Android 9 on top of MIUI 11. It has since released the guaranteed OS update ( Android 10) but could be eligible for Android 11. Also, the device will receive the MIUI 12.5 update, and probably, the update will arrive with the new OS. That probably seems to be the case since the latest update seeding sans the Redmi Note 8T Android 11 update. However, we recommend that you download and install the update when prompted to fortify the device ahead of the planned upgrade (MIUI 12.5) at least.
Meanwhile, the new stable Redmi Note 8T update is seeding in Russia and Globally. The update is hitting eligible users with a version number – MIUI 12.0.5.0 QCXRUXM and MIUI 12.0.4.0 QCXMIXM – respectively. It brings the July security patch to increase system security and stability. As usual, the update has addressed some Android vulnerabilities while optimizing system performance.
