Xiaomi rounded off Android 10 for it’s eligible Android One device when they released the update for MI A2 Lite a couple of days ago. The Mi A3 got the update on the last day of February, which was rather too buggy, but never as bad as what arrived on Mi A2 Lite. Many users were left with a brick device and other bugs, which was reported here. The Mi A2 had already received the update a couple of weeks ago, and neither was it a perfect one as few bugs were also reported.
However, the company is now releasing subsequent Android 10 builds to fix those reported bugs and a fresh build if you are yet to upgrade to Android 10. The update arrived for Mi A3 yesterday, and today, a new update for Mi A2 starts arriving.
The update arrives with an updated Android security patch, Google security update, and Google plays System update. Also, the update came with some bug fixes and system optimization.
According to feedback from Mi A2 users, the only issue with the fingerprint sensor is that it won’t still appear on a locked screen, you will have to tap twice before it pops up. And for few people, the camera bug is now fixed and turning data off/on from notification shade is now optimized.
Also, the screen lock/unlock sound got fixed, and as for battery drain, users have not experienced any improvement yet. But if after downloading the new update for Mi A2 and you are still facing some issues, try doing a factory reset.
Meanwhile, the update weighs 36.8MB, for those on Android 10 and up to 1.1GB if you’re still on Android 9. To download the update, proceed to settings> System update and scan for a new update. And don’t be disappointed if nothing is there as this update is also a staged one.
We will update you if more bugs get fixed, but don’t forget to leave feedback via the comment section if you have got on the new update for MI A2.
