So many questions were asked when Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 8 Pro with Mediatek Helio G90T gaming SoC. A lot of people believe that the device won’t be getting timely updates because of the chipset. That seems to be the truth when Xiaomi released it’s MIUI 11 road map and it had Redmi Note 8 Pro in December for the update. Is true Redmi Note 8 received the MIUI 11 update first, but the Pro version is already running Stable Android 10.
Meanwhile, a new update for Redmi Note 8 has started arriving ahead of the Android 10. The update is arriving for the Indian users and Indonesia. For the Indian users, you will receive the update with a build number MIUI 11.0.3.0 PCOINXM and MIUI 11.0.3.0 PCOIDXM.
You will be able to progressively receive the update over-the-air (OTA) on your phone via the updater app. However, you can still download the zip files on this post and flash at your own risk. Make sure you follow the guidelines and it’s the correct ROM for your device.

And while we continue waiting for Redmi Note 8 Android 10 update, the new update is based on Android 9 Pie. However, since the Pro variant already got the update, it might not be long again before the vanilla version gets Android 10 as well.
