While the Galaxy Watch 5 series is currently captivating our attention this season, you need not forget that the Watch 4 is still alive, which is what Samsung is playing out now. By that, we mean a new update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series is now available.
The new update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series will be rolling out for both the Galaxy Watch 4 classic and the Galaxy Watch 4. As interesting as it is to announce this update, it’s quite sad that it doesn’t include a new security patch. However, we expect some more stability(according to the changelog via Sammobile) on the Galaxy Watch 4 series even if the firmware update might not bring in a slew of features.
R8xxXXU1GVI3 is the firmware version of the new update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series and it packs a storage space of about 185MB. On availability, the update is currently available in South Korea and will be spreading to other regions in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, we’ve got updates rolling out to the Watch 4 series before now, one of which is the stable OneUI 4.5.
New update for the Galaxy Watch 4, probable stability to existing software
Since the new update for Galaxy Watch 4 series is based on stability, it will further stabilise the OneUI Watch 4.5. We’re in for tweaks to Google Assistant and QWERTY keyboard as well as the ability to switch SIM cards to make calls among others with the OneUI Watch 4.5 beta. To access the update, simply navigate to the Galaxy Wearable app and install the firmware when it gets to your device.
