Check below for the latest update: European Redmi Note 8 Pro users are receiving a new update...
While a handful of Xiaomi phones already received the stable Android 11 update, few eligible ones are still waiting for the OTA. Both the Redmi Note 8 Pro and POCO X3 NFC are eligible for the Android 11 update, but it seems the update is not ready yet to start rolling out. However, it won’t be long till the rollout starts for both since the Redmi Note 8 has started receiving a new OS build in China. We anticipate the global rollout in the next few weeks, and that should also mean Android 11 for the Redmi Note 8 Pro since both started testing the build at the same time. And while we wait for the update, a new update for the Redmi Note 8 pro and POCO X3 NFC has been released.
The update has bumped the Android security patch level to February 2021 to increase the system security and stability, which are the only changes that appeared on the changelog. However, you’ll notice an improved performance after installing the new update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro and POCO X3 NFC update. That said, you should download and install the update when prompted to fortify your device ahead of the Android 11 upgrade.
