At this stage, you definitely must have known what’s going on with Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 rollouts. Xiaomi promised the update to come mid-February but didn’t arrive until the last day of the said month. Still, it was pulled. And that was after multiple users reported bugs on the update and since then it has been released, pulled, released again and was pulled.
That has been the journey of Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10, and once again, the update starts arriving. Not surprising, its another buggy Android 10 update, or rather it fails to fix the bugs left by the first rollout.
Meanwhile, the new update started arriving today with a version number V11.0.11.0 and weighs 1.33GB. It’s coming along with the April security patch, system optimization, and as many would expect some bugs as well. Below is the update highlights:
New Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 highlights
- Dark Theme
- Gesture Navigation
- Privacy control
- Note: some obsolete features were removed in this version, you may need to redo some settings. Uh
The new Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 update still has the fingerprint not working. Also, the 32s camera shutter speed of the main camera is still missing while the setting suggestion bug still exists. For now, these are the only bugs that have been reported from early adopters, and we hope to get more.
We are going to update this post when we receive more feedback about the update. It would be best to wait if you’re still on Android Pie until it’s safe to update. However, if you’re already on Android 10, just go ahead and download the new Xiaomi MI A3 Android 10 build. And don’t forget to leave feedback for us after upgrading to Android 10, we would like to know your experience with the new update.

Hi,
I still have the SD scan checking bug (Xiaomi Mi A3).
I can’t make it finish the scan and my phone becomes unusable after a minute, displaying “starting up”
I must remove the SD card in order to use my phone, but I have a lot of things on the SD card, so it’s really inconvenient…
Am I the only one with this bug still there ?
The SD card is probably corrupt. Maybe you need you use a computer to scan it for virus then insert it back…
I can read it without any problem on my old phone (Sony Xperia Z3).
It was working perfectly before one android patch a few month ago. And since this patch, It takes forever “check” but sometimes, I can make it worked as long as I don’t restart the phone, and then, it works perfecly.
(FYI, my old phone has big dead zone on touchscreen, that’s why I changed)
I’m sorry about that. I guess you are running Android 10 on the phone? That’s possibly the reason why you are facing that issue with your SD card. I advise you wait for the next OTA, it will surely fix the issue for you…
The first Android 10 update that was sent to Mi A3 left a few bugs, one of them, affect the SD card. I guess that’s the bug affecting your device.
I have the “default” and updated android version provided by Xiaomi for the Mi A3 (I never tried to flash it myself on this phone but I might try).
From the “about” option, it says “Android 9”.
On an other note, I’ve seen that the more files I have on the SD Card, the slower it gets to check and unfortunately, the problem made my phone unusable when I added a lot of small files (like 20 Go of photo/image etc)
For now, I’ll just remove the SD Card as I still have space on the internal memory, but it’s suboptimal for my usage…
I just hope that the bug will be fixed someday.
Thanks for your answers.
Alright…let’s hope the next update will fix it for you…
