I have the “default” and updated android version provided by Xiaomi for the Mi A3 (I never tried to flash it myself on this phone but I might try).
From the “about” option, it says “Android 9”.

On an other note, I’ve seen that the more files I have on the SD Card, the slower it gets to check and unfortunately, the problem made my phone unusable when I added a lot of small files (like 20 Go of photo/image etc)

For now, I’ll just remove the SD Card as I still have space on the internal memory, but it’s suboptimal for my usage…

I just hope that the bug will be fixed someday.

In reply to Samnang TRAING. The first Android 10 update that was sent to Mi A3 left a few bugs, one of them, affect the SD card. I guess that's the bug affecting your device.

In reply to Samnang TRAING. I'm sorry about that. I guess you are running Android 10 on the phone? That's possibly the reason why you are facing that issue with your SD card. I advise you wait for the next OTA, it will surely fix the issue for you...

I can read it without any problem on my old phone (Sony Xperia Z3).

It was working perfectly before one android patch a few month ago. And since this patch, It takes forever “check” but sometimes, I can make it worked as long as I don’t restart the phone, and then, it works perfecly.
(FYI, my old phone has big dead zone on touchscreen, that’s why I changed)
