Nokia XR20 Android 14 is now rolling out
In a few weeks, Google will start rolling the stable Android 15 update, while Nokia is still rolling Android 14 to its eligible phones. Of course, it’s better late than never, and we recommend those using the Nokia XR20 to check for the new update that bumps their OS to Android 14.
Only a few eligible Android 14 phones are yet to get the upgrade, with Android 15 rolling out soon. HMD has now released the former to the Nokia XR20. We understand it’s a global release, but rolling out in batches, meaning the update might take days before hitting your device, though you can force the upgrade.
Nokia XR20 Android 14 update is rolling out with a build number 4_170. Aside from Android 14 optimization and new features, the update bumps the Android security patch to August 2024 to address security vulnerabilities. We recommend installing the update when prompted.

The update is available via OTA. It started rolling out a few days ago and may have arrived for your phone. Head to Settings>>System>>System update>>Check for Updates. We recommend backing up your data somewhere safe before installing the update or any upgrades.
