Google has announced the October 2024 Play system update, but they have yet to start rolling it out. As usual, the update brings new features, optimization, and bug fixes, and it is available for all Android devices, including TVs, Chromebooks, Android Automotive, and others.
The October 2024 Google Play system update has only been announced. It has yet to start rolling out to eligible devices, but we know what to expect with the new release. Google has introduced an instant Hotspot feature for quickly sharing internet connections with other users. This update also includes features exclusively for developers, and you can check them out below.

We will notify you when the update becomes available for download, but you can follow our social media platforms for that. However, if you are using a Pixel phone, you can check the update via Settings>>Security & Privacy >>System updates>>Google Play system update.
We understand the Theft Detection Lock and Offline Device Lock aren’t part of the current release, although you might see them after installing the new update. Google released those features with the September 2024 Play system update, though some people have yet to receive it. We still haven’t seen it on our Pixel 7 Pro, but hopefully, we will soon.
