The Xiaomi Mi 10T and 10T Pro already have a successor – Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro, but the love story continues for the former. Xiaomi continues to push security patch updates to the device while they are currently testing Android 12. Of course, it’s the Chinese models – Redmi K30S Ultra testing the build. However, while we wait for the stable release, the October security patch for global Mi 10T and 10T Pro has been released.
The update is available for limited users, and it’s seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.5.0 RJDMIXM – and weighs 281MB. Of course, it’s a security patch to increase system security and stability while addressing some bugs and improving performance. According to feedback, the update is safe, and we recommend that you download and install it when prompted.
Meanwhile, due to the nature of OTA releases, the update might take time before arriving on your device. And why we recommend you wait for the OTA, we have also added a link below for you to download the ROM. That’s if you have an authorized Mi beta account, otherwise flashing the ROM won’t be possible.
As for Android 12, Xiaomi Mi 10T and 10T Pro are eligible for that upgrade. It’s been tested in China, and hopefully, the stable ROM will be released in the coming months. Unfortunately, that’ll be the last Android 11 upgrade, unlike the successors. Xiaomi has promised three Android OS upgrades for the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro.
