Here’s the crux of the matter: Google is offering Official Pixels part via IFixit for self-repair. Quite generous from the Big G one would say. The company has been trying to fix both software and hardware issues and it has come up with an amazing move.
Some months ago, the company announced that the Official Pixels part will be coming in via IFixit for self-repair, and just recently, IFixit announced that Pixel 2 and upwards parts are now available for purchase. The original smartphone parts are now available with a lot of varieties in the hood of IFixit. Ranging from mesh speaker grilles to screen displays and the likes.
The interesting news is that not only are the Pixel parts coming in via IFixit but also tools are for purchase. However, as pleasing to the ear as this might sound, if you have issues repairing a phone or you haven’t done it before you should turn to a professional.
Tool not being the only interesting news, the parts of Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro announced at the Google I/O might be made available via IFixit as well and other future smartphones coming from the brand.
Official Pixels part via IFixit for self-repair is a similar move
By similar move, we mean that phone brands are making moves to help users to fix their smartphones the same way they could fix their cars. Apple had enabled a self-repair program, Samsung also announced it will be releasing some parts to customers for self-repair soon, and then Valve also did something similar as well.
