We anticipated the release of the One UI 6.1.1 update with the August security patch. Of course, that didn’t happen, which delayed the supposed One UI 7.0 public beta release. However, Samsung has started rolling out the much-anticipated One UI 6.1.1 update with a September 2024 security patch.
Samsung has made the x.1.1 version of its One UI update exclusive for Tablets and Foldable but decided to expand the availability this year. They are rolling out the update of the Galaxy S24 series currently with other eligible phones expected to receive the update in the coming days/weeks.
The One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24 series has a firmware version S92xNKSU3AXH7. It comes in at 2.8 GB, which confirms how big of an update. We recommend installing the update when prompted as it has introduced some interesting features. Along with the new additions, the update bumps the Android security patch level to September 2024 to increase system security and stability.
