OnePlus has started rolling out the stable Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 to the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T. The duo has completed the closed beta tests, with the update rolling out for the stable channel. However, it’s a limited rollout, but we expect more people to receive the upgrade in the coming days.

OnePlus has been rolling out the stable Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 update since the official release by Google. And like Samsung and Xiaomi, the release is yet to be concluded as we expect more phones to get the update. The OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T Android 14 update is now rolling out but exclusive to India users.

On the OnePlus 9R, the update has a version number LE2101_14.0.0.300 (EX01) and KB2001_14.0.0.200 (EX01) on the OnePlus 8T. Both releases have the same changes, which includes the introduction of a new File Dock and Content Extraction features to drag-and-drop files between apps.

OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 8T Android 14 changelog

Smart efficiency

 • Adds File Dock, where you can drag and drop to transfer content between apps and devices.

 • Adds Content Extraction, a feature that can recognize and extract text and images from the screen with one tap.

Cross-device connectivity

 • Improves photo and video-related permission management for safer access by apps.

Performance optimization

 • Improves system stability, the launch speed of apps, and the smoothness of animations.

 • Adds support for app-specific refresh rates to improve user experience.

While the update is rolling out in batches, you can manually check for it via Settings>>About>>Software update>>Check for update. Before installing the update, you need 5 GB of free storage and at least 30% battery charge. Also, we recommend backing up your data before upgrading in case of any issues, which you can report using the Google Dialer of the OnePlus Community.
