Ahead of the stable Android 13 release, the OnePlus 9RT is currently receiving a new update. It’s the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 open beta, as the company looks to finalize the testing before the public release.
The OnePlus 9RT debuted with Android 12 on top of OxygenOS 12, making it eligible for Android 13. Perhaps, it’s only a matter of when, and not if, the update will start seeding. And with those in India currently getting the OnePlus 9RT Android 13-based OxygenOS 13 Open beta, they might be the first to receive the stable version.
As expected, the update brings the Aquamorphic Design, optimizations, improvements, and new features. However, given the condition of beta builds, there are a few bugs affecting the update.
According to OnePlus, Eye comfort mode can’t be activated in specific scenarios and after switching the system dynamic wallpaper, the time on the lock screen is displayed abnormally. Of course, there might be issues of app compatibility, and hence, we won’t recommend installing OnePlus 9RT Android 13 Beta on your primary device.
Nevertheless, if you wish to continue, make sure your device is running the latest OxygenOS 12 version (C.07). Also, a battery level of 30% and free 5.5GB storage.
Interestingly, the company has a rollback plan in case things don’t pan out. You can check the source links for the installation and rollback guide.
