Google plans to reach Android 15 platform stability in June 2024, with the stable rollout planned for October. They have since released beta builds and now third-party OEMs are jumping on it. The latest smartphone company to start rolling out the Android 15 beta update is OnePlus, for its phones on the beta channel.
OnePlus has made available the Android 15 beta 1 update to interested users. However, only the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Open Foldable users can install the update. While Android 15 beta could be installed by interested Pixel phone users, OnePlus made the update exclusive for developers and advanced users.
According to the company, the OnePlus Android 15 beta update should not be installed on a daily driver, as you can risk bricking your device trying to install the update. Interestingly, there are a bunch of known issues released along the ROM, and you should go through them before installing the upgrade.
