OnePlus, just like most smartphone manufacturers, is still rolling out the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update. That’s not stopping the plans for the upcoming Android 12, which is in the last phase of testing. Google already announced that its next Android OS has reached the stability stage, and hence, there’ll be no future changes. The company has told developers to test their app compatibility and quality with Android 12.
As usual, the Android 12 update for OnePlus phones will be based on OxygenOS 12. It’s understood that the build is currently under development and will arrive with Android 12. That makes it necessary to list the OnePlus phone to receive OxygenOS 12. Every device on the list automatically qualifies for the Android 12 update, which might arrive officially this month or next.
Essentially, premium OnePlus phones are entitled to three Android OS upgrades and four years of security support. The flagship series include the T and R series, while the Nord and Nord CE will get three years of security support and two Android OS upgrades on the road. Nord N series from N10 and N100 is eligible for one Android OS and three years of security support.
