Well, the Pixel Buds A-series received its very first update of the year about a week ago but Pixel Buds A-series pairing issues soon followed which is quite unfortunate. The Pixel Buds A-series pairing issues were just bugs preventing you from “moving the connection from your phone to your tablet.”
A fix for the Pixel Buds A-series pairing issues
Well, the update rolling out now bears version v3.527.0 and it includes a fix. 9to5Google’s Pixel Buds A-Series has been upgraded to version 3.527.0 this afternoon. In their experience, the installation procedure took longer than normal. After manually triggering, simply keep the case open and you’ll be alerted when the procedure is complete.
As a reminder, the buds are updated first, followed by the casing after a brief delay. Close the cover on the case and place the buds inside. For the pairing procedure to be successful again, both components must be on 3.527.0. (by pressing the button on the back of the case). After the tests by 9to5google, today, pairing to a new device after an update worked.
Meanwhile, On Tuesday, Google said that the “update that corrects this behaviour will be given out to 100% of users by Monday, February 6th.” It is recommended that “you do not upgrade your Pixel Buds A-Series until the new update is ready on Monday.”
This is most likely aimed at people who haven’t upgraded and are still on 3.514.0 from mid-October. If you’ve already updated your Pixel Buds A-Series to 3.519.0 and are still experiencing the Pixel Buds A-series pairing issues, the remedy is now available.
