Google has been testing Android 15 since February. With a series of beta updates already released to beta testers, it is almost time for the public to start getting the update. Of course, Google only boosted their Android OS support to eight with the release of the Pixel 8, and hence, some Pixel phones will miss out on the stable Android 15.
Just like last year, Google will release the stable Android 15 update to Pixel phones next month. Rumors say 15 October, and we expect the update to seed with the October security patch.
Which Pixel phone will get a stable Android 15 update?
Google Pixel 6 users should expect the stable Android 15 update when it starts rolling out next month. Same for Pixel phones released after 2021 or debuted with Android 13. Before the current support period, Google only released three Android OS updates.
That being said, the Pixel 5a and Pixel 5a 5G will not get a stable Android 15, the same as older Pixel phones. You might consider switching to a Custom ROM for the latest OS update.
