While Google has not provided a detailed changelog of the Pixel Watch July 2023 security patch and the factory/OTA image is not yet available, it is unlikely that this update will bring significant changes following last month’s extensive Feature Drop. The build number indicates that the focus of this update is on stability and security enhancements. Notably, the previous update introduced features such as SpO2 monitoring, high and low heart rate notifications, and auto-pause functionality for runs, walks, and bike rides. Additionally, Google Assistant for Wear OS now supports multiple languages, including Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Polish, and Spanish.

Download the Pixel Watch July 2023 security patch

To initiate the download of the Pixel Watch July 2023 security patch, users can repeatedly tap the “Your watch is up to date” screen within the settings menu (Settings > System > System updates). It is worth noting that the screen may still appear gray rather than black. For a faster download process, users can navigate to Connectivity settings and temporarily deactivate Bluetooth.

By keeping their Pixel Watch up to date with the latest security patches, users can ensure a more secure and reliable experience while enjoying the various features and enhancements introduced by Google for Wear OS.
