The POCO F3 GT is the latest offering from the Xiaomi sub-brand. It’s reworked Redmi K40 Gaming Edition as both phones share almost everything, even down to size and measurement. That was expected, and hence, the device features a Mediatek Processor. A tall display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a notch for the selfie camera. At the back panel is a triple camera sensor capable of shooting exquisite shots.

POCO F3 GT specs
The POCO F3 GT F3 GT is the first gaming phone from the brand, but it didn’t disappoint. Even with the price tag starting at about $350, the device still ticks all the boxes of a basic gaming phone. It features an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling for a smooth experience. There are physical pop-up gaming triggers and dual Hi-Res stereo speakers. One is located at the bottom close to the USB-C port, while the other sits at the top frame. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as a power button, with the volume rocker sitting above. POCO is offering the device in two colors: Black and Silver.
POCO F3 GT display
The best part of the POCO F3 GT is arguably the display. It has been equipped with a 6.67-inch FullHD+ AMOLED panel that supports 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate for a smooth display experience. The panel supports HDR10+, DCI-P3 color coverage for accurate details and color representation. And to complement the sturdy design, the POCO F3 GT features a Gorilla Glass 5 glass on both the front and back panel. The device is also splash and dust resistance with the IP53 rating.
POCO F3 GT performance
For peak performance, there should be a proper dissipation of heat. The POCO F3 GT makes use of a big vapor chamber along with a white graphene heat sink. There’s also Game Turbo that lets gamers optimize the performance of the device during gaming. And coupled with the 6nm processor from Mediatek – Dimensity 1200 5G – aided by 6/8GB UFS 3.1 RAM, the device will deliver peak performance at all times. Outside of the box is Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5 for POCO.
POCO F3 GT camera
Even as a gaming-centric phone, POCO has equipped the F3 GT with impressive camera specs. The device features a primary 64MP shooter added by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro shooter. At the front is a 16MP sensor for selfie and video calls while also supporting face unlock. Meanwhile, the primary lens can only shoot 4k@30fps video, while the selfie snapper shoots 1080p@30fps. That is impressive for a gaming phone.
POCO F3 GT battery and security
The device features a 5065mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. It takes 42 minutes to a full charge that will last for days, depending on the usage pattern. There is no mention of wireless charging, so we doubt the device supports it. For security, it uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with overall improved performance
POCO F3 GT price and availability
The POCO F3 GT price starts at $350 for the 6/128GB model and goes up to $355 after the first week of sales. After the sales period, the device will start at $362, while the 8/128GB models will sell at $390. The 8/256GB variants will stay at $416 after the initial $402 first sales price.
