POCO has officially announced the POCO M3. The device starts at $149 for the base model, while the more premium configuration will set you back $169. There’s an early bird price discount on November 27, which is the first official sale. That day, the device is going to start at $129 for the base variant and $149 for the other model.
Meanwhile, the POCO M3 makes use of a dual-tone rear finish. Part of the back, up top, has a big rectangular camera housing and not just the camera, but also houses the LED flash and the POCO crest. The camera is a primary 48MP snapper with 0.8μm pixel and paired with additional two sensors: 2MP depth and 2MP macro shooter.
Around the front panel is a 6.53-inch IPS panel with a waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie camera. The refresh rate is capped at 60HZ while the display sits under a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, POCO M3 runs Snapdragon 662 Octa-Core processor, paired with a standard 4GB RAM and a variable ROM: 64GB or 128GB.
Power will be delivered by a massive 6000mAh battery with an 18W fast charging solution. The device also supports reverse charging, meaning you could use it to juice up your other gadgets. According to the company, the battery life will remain the same without degradation for 30 months. And in that time, you get five days on light usage, three days on moderate use, and a day and a half for gamers.
