POCO is on course to complete the Android 13-based MIUI 14 rollout before the stable Android 14 build becomes available. The company is now rolling out the POCO M4 Pro 5G MIUI 14 update, which brings a much-anticipated Android 13 upgrade. However, the release is limited to Mi Pilot members for preview.
The latest POCO phone to start receiving the MIUI 14 update is the M4 Pro 5G. It comes with a version number MIUI 14.0.1.0 TGBMIXM and weighs 3.5GB. Arriving with the update is a stable MIUI based on Android 13, June 2023 security patch, increased system security, and bug fixes.
Aside from the changes on the changelog, the update introduced Photon Engine to optimize power consumption and memory usage. Super Icon and New Widget format for combination on the screen is part of the package. While the update improved performance, resolved bugs, and made some UI adjustments, users have been reporting bugs after upgrading to MIUI 14.
