There’s no month we don’t get to see a new Xiaomi phone: either from Redmi or POCO. This time is the latter that’ll launch a new device next month. It’ll be the newest member of the POCO M6 series and promises to bring some exciting features.
POCO will officially present the M6 Plus next month in India. The official teaser posters suggest we have seen the device before. And yes, it’s the recently released Redmi 13 5G that will arrive as POCO M6 Plus in India. We don’t expect many changes aside from the POCO logo and the POCO launcher.
Meanwhile, the POCO M6 Plus will feature a 6.79-inch 1080 x 2460 resolution display with support for 120 Hz refresh rate. It’s an LCD panel, meaning the fingerprint scanner remains in the frame. The device I’ll run is the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC with either a 6 GB or 8 GB RAM paired with 128 GB or 256 GB ROM, respectively.
There’s a primary 108 MP camera paired with a 2 MP macro shooter at the back, while the selfie camera is 13 MP. Power will be sourced from a 5030mAh battery with support for 33 W wired charging. We expect the device to run Android 14 based on HyperOS outside of the box, making it eligible for Android 15 and HyperOS 2.0.
