The POCO X2 is the latest device to start receiving Android 11-based MIUI 12 updates. We have been expecting the update for months now. After Google released the stable version of the Android 11 update to its Pixel phones, POCO, promised to roll out the update to the POCO X2. Few weeks after the announcement, they started testing the build, and according to a recent report, the test is supposedly over as the POCO X2 Android 11 update starts seeding.
According to those that have received the POCO X2 Android 11 update, the build arrived as MIUI 12.1.2.0 RGHINXM. It weighs in at 2.4GB and has introduced the features baked inside Android 11 to the device. Also, it fixed bugs and bumped the Android security patch level to January 2021.
However, it’s tagged “Beta Stable,” which means only a few selected users will receive the update. It will be released to the public after a successful preview, and that should take some days. But if you have a compatible Android 11 TWRP Recovery installed, you can follow the link below this post and download the ROM. Other than that, you should wait for the OTA.
Note that the POCO X2 Android 11 update is a cross-section Android upgrade. It requires that you perform a factory reset after installing the build to fix some lags and glitches. Therefore it becomes necessary to backup your data before installing the update to restore it afterward.
