The POCO X2 is one of the few phones from the Xiaomi sub-brand yet to receive the stable MIUI 13 update. While a handful of POCO phones will receive the update based on Android 11, POCO X2 will get a new Android OS with the stable MIUI 13 update. According to reports, the POCO X2 Android 12-based MIUI 13 is ready and would start seeding soon.
Launched in 2020 with Android 10 on top of MIUI 11, POCO X2 received Android 11 with MIUI 11 a couple of months ago, and it is eligible for Android 12, given the company policy of two Android OS for high-end phones. There hasn’t been any doubt about the POCO X2 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update after the build was released in China weeks ago.
The update arrived on the Redmi K30 – the Chinese version of POCO X2, and since both phones have the same development, it was only a matter of time before the global release. Report shows that a stable MIUI 13.0.3.0 SGHINXM is ready to start seeding. Of course, it would be based on Android 12, but it’s unclear when the rollout will commence. However, we expect Xiaomi to start the deployment in the coming weeks.
As usual, the POCO X2 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update will arrive for Mi Pilots before making it to all eligible devices. That’s if there is no bug detected, but we doubt something of that nature will happen.
