It has taken POCO months to introduce a Pro version of the popular POCO X3 NFC. Both devices have the same design, but the internals are different, especially the processor. The POCO X3 Pro features a flagship Snapdragon 860 SoC with Liquid Cool heat dissipation technology. Interestingly, the POCO X3 Pro price starts at €249, and there’s an early bird offer when you order the device on March 24, when it finally goes on sale.

The device sports a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch hole for the selfie camera sensor. It refreshes at 120Hz and supports a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The Full HD+ display has 450nits of brightness and sits under a Corning Gorilla Glass 6. You get an IP53 rating, meaning the device is resistant to scratches and dust.

Ideally, Pro means better, and that is what the POCO X3 Pro is all about. Although it shares the same design as the vanilla version, the internals is on a different level. With the Snapdragon 860 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM, the device will improve your gaming experience. POCO also equipped the device with Liquid Cool dissipation technology for proper dissipation of heat. And with the high refresh rate panel and HDR10 support, you get exquisite details streaming or playing games. Outside-of-the-box, the device runs Android 11 on top of MIUI 12 with a POCO launcher.

POCO X3 Pro camera

Compared to the POCO X3 NFC, the camera isn’t any better, at least on paper. But with a better processor, there should be a difference in the camera output. Also, video processing speed would be faster and better with the SD 860 under the helm. Hence, the primary 48MP shooter has what it takes to come out good. There’s also an 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth, and macro sensors. The front panel houses single 20MP snapper and supports face unlock while the primary sensor shoots 4K@30fps.

The side-mounted fingerprint scanner is now a trend for Xiaomi. Even the POCO F3 with an AMOLED display follows the trends and the same with POCO X3 Pro. The POCO X3 Pro price starts at €249 (~$296) for the base 6/128GB, while the 8/256GB variant sets you back €299 (~$356). It will be available in Phantom Black, Frost Blue, and Meta Bronze starting from March 24. You would be able to purchase the device from the official POCO website and other selected stores.
