The latest POCO phone to start getting the much-anticipated Android 14-based HyperOS update is the X5 Pro 5G. It is the Global users getting the update but are limited to a few units for preview. While the public release will commence in the coming days, you can download the Recovery ROM now and flash it manually.
POCO X5 Pro 5G Android 14 update is rolling out just a few days after non-Pro models receive the update. Both releases are exclusive to the global models, but we expect more regions to start getting the OTA soon. Meanwhile, only Mi Pilots members are getting the update for preview, and depending on their feedback, we expect a public release in two weeks.
The update will arrive with a version number OS1.0.2.0.UMXMIXM, weighing 4.7GB. Part of the package is a stable HyperOS based on Android 14 and January 2024 security patch level to increase system security. Of course, all the expected HyperOS features, which include a new animation language, new system fonts and home screen icons, a redesigned weather app and control center, and others will also be available.
