Xiaomi might be about to start the third phase of the MIUI 12.5 rollout, but they aren’t done with MIUI 12 just yet. That’s surprising, right? Especially when you realize it has been over six months since the unveiling of MIUI 12.5. But it is better later than never, and that also gives hope for the Redmi 5 Plus MIUI 12 update arriving soon as the Redmi Note 5 bags the update in China.
The Redmi Note 5 MIUI 12 update comes with the features you would expect, some of them which the current version has improved. It includes a comprehensive design optimized for full-screen display devices, natural sounds, animation, Mi share, others. If your Redmi Note 5 is still working, you’ll receive this update in the coming weeks as it has been tagged Beta Stable for now.
The update will arrive as MIUI 12.0.3.0 PEICNXM in an 862MB package. From the build number, it’s based on Android Pie. Nevertheless, you’d get some features of the newer Android version with MIUI 12. Xiaomi has baked some of them inside the build. The update also pushed the update to the November 2021 security patch to increase system security and stability.
And with the update now available for the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 5, it might finally arrive for Redmi 5 Plus. The global users received the update months ago, and it is time for the Chinese rollout. Hopefully, we will see the update extend to the device in the coming days.
