The wait for Redmi 9T Android 11 update might be over, but the wait for MIUI 12.5 has just begun. We anticipated both builds to arrive simultaneously, but given the latest development, that isn’t going to happen, at least for the global and Turkish variants. Reason being that the update is currently live in both regions, and units there are receiving the update with a stable MIUI 12, meaning the MIUI 12.5 build will arrive separately.

Redmi 9T Android 11 update

The Redmi 9T Android 11 update is currently seeding for the Global and Turkish variants. It carries a software version number – MIUI 12.0.1.0 RJQMIXM and MIUI 12.0.1.0 RJQTRXM, respectively. As usual, it is a limited rollout, exclusively for Mi Pilots for preview. That’ll take a couple of days, and if in the end, there’s no performance-threatening bug detected, the public rollout will commence.

Meanwhile, there are some known Xiaomi Android 11 bugs. They include third-party launcher compatibility problems and the ugly square chat bubbles. Of course, you might experience lags and glitches, but you can fix that by performing a factory reset. According to early Android 11 adopters, they were able to fix some of the problems with a hard reset. However, you only do that after backing up your files to avoid data loss.

Again, the update is on a limited rollout and will take a couple of days before seeding to the public. However, with the right tools, you can download the ROM via the links below, and flash. And concerning when other regions will start getting the update, there’s no ETA at the moment. You can keep tabs on our tracker page for new information.
