That could have been a surprise, but we guess Chinese units spoiled what could have been a huge surprise. The device, Redmi Note 9 4G, rebadged Redmi 9T, received the Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5, tagged with Android 11 a few days ago. And since both phones have the same development, it was always going to be the same for the Redmi 9T. As expected, the Redmi 9T Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 has is now available for global users.
It was quite a journey. Although the Redmi 9T is eligible for Android 11, Xiaomi has waited until recently to release the upgrade. The device received Android 11 a couple of months, but it was limited to Mi Pilots. Perhaps, the company wanted to test the build, and it seems everything is working perfectly now. Hence, they have released the Redmi 9T Android 11 with Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5.
The Redmi 9T Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.5.2.0 RJQMIXM. The build weighs 828MB and comes with Android 11. Aside from upgrading the Android OS, the update has delivered features of the current MIUI version. They include Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, and Smart Balance. These features have supposedly improved performance speed while ensuring more life between charges.
Aside from the new features, the build has addressed multiple bugs and optimized performance. It has bumped the Android security patch level to September 2021 to increase system security and stability. You can check the complete change here.
Meanwhile, the Redmi 9T Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 is limited to Mi Pilots. They’ll preview the build for bugs, and hopefully, the public will start receiving the update in the coming days. Also, we expect the Redmi 9 Power to start grabbing the update soon.
