The Redmi K20 launched a few months ago made it to India last month, since then it has received much interest from Mi Fans in the country. Meanwhile, due to the success rate, Redmi is already working on the successor, which will be named Redmi K30.
The news came directly from Redmi General Manager, Lu Weibing when he confirmed on his Weibo account that the Redmi K30 will support the 5G network. We can safely say that Redmi is working on the Redmi K30, but can’t say is coming fast, considering how it was welcomed by the brand lovers. With this, the Redmi K30 will be the first Redmi brand device to support 5G network. The only Xiaomi device with 5G support is the Mi Mix 3 5G variant.
Unfortunately, the general manager didn’t reveal any other specs, but we expect to see some improvements over the Redmi K20. The K20 features SD 855 and packs 4000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge via USB-C port. It was also the first Redmi device to support NFC, which didn’t inflate the pricing.
The Redmi K30 is on its way that’s for sure but we don’t know much on the features. We expect to know more about the device in the coming weeks, so till then, we’ll let you know as it unfolds.
