Xiaomi has started rolling out the Android 14-based HyperOS update. As expected, the rollout is currently limited to Chinese users, while we expect Global release in the coming days. It’s the Redmi K60 Ultra receiving the much-anticipated upgrade, but only limited users are getting it.
It is looking like Xiaomi will uphold its rollout schedule for the HyperOS update. The official rollout plan suggests the upgrade will start seeding in December 2023, and that’s what is happening with the update now live for the Redmi K60 Ultra. However, we expect the speed of the rollout to increase in the coming days, which will see more phones receive the update.
Meanwhile, Redmi K60 Ultra Android 14-based HyperOS update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.4.0.UMLCNXM. It weighs about 6GB and brings all the anticipated features while bumping the security patch level to the latest version. Of course, the update upgrades your Android version to 14, and hence, you might want to back up your data before installing the update.
Some system apps haven’t adapted to the new Android OS and might cause glitches. We recommend backing up your data so you can perform a factory reset to resolve some issues after upgrading if there’s a need. Nevertheless, we haven’t had any complaints about the Redmi K60 Ultra Android 14-based HyperOS update yet.
